A Machine Learning Model for the prediction of used cars using textual data

Project Abstract

The used car market within the United Kingdom has been growing since the global coronavirus pandemic in 2020. With the growing number of cars, consumers can utilise the benefits of price prediction using machine learning. This project assesses the suitability of price prediction for used cars using machine learning. The project involved collecting data of used cars from public websites. Once collected, the data was used to develop a model for price prediction. The results of this project demonstrate that machine learning can be used to assist consumers in finding the value of their vehicles. However, a large amount of data considering the technical aspects of the car is required for accurate results.
