Project Abstract

In the education system, the management between the students and lecturers for queries and lab sign-off is challenging. This project aims to address these challenges by developing the web application using Laravel MVC framework which creates an efficient communication and makes the task of students and lecturers easy by including login, submitting the lab task, asking queries and feedback.The main feature of the novel lab sign-off is queue system that includes the work submission and queries of students, where teaching assistants (TA) can change the order of the queue. The application also includes the live chat between the TA and students. Additionally, there will be an interface where students can submit screenshots of their work. A feedback system where, each student needs to give feedback of the lab which enables continuous improvement.However, the web application shows the clear visualization, including the graph that shows the number of students signed off and those who are pending to be signed-off and also feedback given by the students. All the interfaces will be colour blindness friendly so that all users can access it. Other features like hashing and de-hashing of the user?��s credentials and other security features, seat allocation at the beginning of the lab will be included.This project is fully working web application that not only gives solution to the present problems but introduces the new features that will improve the existing methods.
