Project Abstract

In the quest to enhance the quality of morning routines, our project introduces an innovative alarm clock application that melds the emotive power of music with the practicality of weather forecasts, aiming to transform waking up from a mundane task into a personalized, uplifting experience. This endeavor is propelled by the recognition of music’s profound impact on emotional well-being and the necessity for weather awareness, addressing the modern individual’s desire for a more mindful start to their day.Our aim is to revolutionize the wake-up experience by ensuring that users awaken to music that harmonizes with the day’s weather, posing the question: Can this integration significantly improve one’s morning mood and readiness?To achieve this, our methodology encompasses a blend of technical innovation and user-centric design. Utilizing programming languages like Kotlin and Swift for mobile development, Python for backend operations, and integrating APIs from weather services and music streaming platforms, we craft an application that selects weather-appropriate music. Our approach is iterative, guided by agile methodologies and a focus on prototyping, user testing, and continuous feedback.While still in the developmental phase without concrete findings, we anticipate that our application will redefine morning rituals by offering a seamless blend of music and weather information, setting a positive tone for the day ahead.This project promises not only to improve individual well-being by enhancing daily routines but also to set a new standard for the integration of technology in personal life, potentially offering insights into how digital innovations can enrich human-computer interaction and routine activities.
