Develop a web application using the Microsoft Threat Modeling Tool
Project Abstract
In a digitally interconnected world, web applications are responsible for facilitating communication, entertainment, and access to information etc. However, these wide usage of web applications sometimes expose users and organizations to various threats like data breaches to denial of service(DOS) attacks. To address these challenges, its crucial for developers or security architects to adopt an approach called “THREAT MODELLING” which identify and mitigate potential threats and vulnerabilities in software systems thereby it can be a proactive approach to all these security concerns. In this project, I am going to deploy this Threat Modelling tool during my design phase of the web application that I am developing. My web application will be basically a social interacting website where users do blogging and stuff.I am going to follow a threat modelling approach called STRIDE and through Microsoft Threat Modelling tool, I am designing my web application how it should end up. By doing this, the tool will be producing what vulnerabilities or security issues that can be exploited and based on that I can re-design the application if needed.
