The Future of Deformable Displays in Smartphones
Project Abstract
Deformable displays are an emerging type of display technology that allow the screen to contort, fold or morph in various ways. Within this project, we intend to assess the viability of deformable displays in smartphones of the future, particularly focusing on rollable and emerging elements. To achieve this, we have developed a prototype featuring both these functions, which we have used in some user testing to get some ideas of the potential applications these types of display can be used for.
