Creating An Interactive Web Application for Teaching Search Engine Optimisation

Project Abstract

For businesses and bloggers trying to expand the reach of their website, appearing high on the results page of a search engine can be crucial for increasing traffic. There are a few different ways to do this, but the most effective way is to organically appear at the top by optimising their webpage according to search engine?s algorithms. Whilst this can initially seem complex, through effective teaching, the topic can be less overwhelming and easier to understand. There are existing websites which aim to teach learners about search engine optimisation (SEO). However, the pedagogical methods implemented are not the most effective, for example they can feature large sections of text and be confusing to navigate. The aim of this project is to design an interactive web application for teaching SEO, implementing researched effective teaching methods. The results from this project is a user-centric web application that includes a variety of features, including content pages with quizzes, a forum for users to ask and answer questions, and more.
