Hyperledger Fabric and ZKPs: Role of Blockchain Biometrics in Access Control and IOT systems

Project Abstract

Technology is evolving every circadian and humans are exploiting the maximum outcome of it on a day-to-day basis. Nevertheless, there is always a pressing need for feasibility that leads to new inventions as it accomplishes everyday tasks within a short span of time. Concurrently, humans commit blunders, we forget things such as physical cards for payments, house or car keys while rushing to our daily jobs. Eventually, it leads to chaos, mental stress and hardships for the whole day or even more. Humans need a system to tackle it and the best solution is blockchain. Creating a system with Hyperledger Fabric blockchain and biometric systems emerged to be a promising solution for these setbacks. The project will aim to implement a new payment method employing biometrics system that stores digital blockchain ID of users and open doors of houses and cars by applying biometric methods. An analysis and user study on how Hyperledger Fabric and Zero Knowledge Proof (ZKP) blockchain technology will conduce to the deployment of the trailblazing digital identity system.
