Control system for the positioning of fruits within a box after harvesting
Project Abstract
Fruits are a tasty and healthy part of people diet. They come from farms where they’regrown and picked when they’re ripe and ready to eat. After picking, they need to be packed into boxes to be taken to stores and markets for us to buy. However, this process can be tricky because fruits are all different shapes and sizes, and they can easily get squashed or damaged if not handled carefully. This project involves the use of cameras and robotic arms to properly pack fruit in boxes. It uses specialized software called ?OpenCV? to identify pods, determine their placement, and then place them accurately in the box. The reason you do this project is because it?s hard to make a nice makeover without damaging the fruit, so having a plan you can do yourself will really help. The plan is to develop a system that can recognize at least two types of fruit and tell the robotic arm where to put it in the box. We will use advanced techniques such as deep learning to help the computer identify the fruit and better understand their state. Then, we will test the system with simulation tools to verify its efficiency and make any necessary improvements. It can support the profitability of farmers and companies involved in fruit packaging, making their operations more efficient and error-free. Overall, this project is about using smart technology to make fruit packing easier and better. By doing this, we can reduce waste, improve fruit quality, and help farmers out. It’s a step forward in farming more efficient andgood for the planet.
