Text-to-Speech algorithm for helping blind and visually impaired people.

Project Abstract

With the growing integration of artificial intelligence in tools for the blind and visually impaired, there is a pressing need to enhance digital accessibility for this demographic? The project leverages the Python programming language to develop a text-to-speech (TTS) model that specifically aims to improve information accessibility for blind and visually impaired individuals? By converting text from various digital sources such as web pages and documents into audible speech, this model seeks to empower these individuals by significantly enhancing their daily communication, education, and navigation experience? Employing advanced machine learning and deep learning algorithms, the project will create a robust TTS system that adapts to the unique needs of its users? The expected outcome is a practical application that improves independence and interaction with digital content, hence decreasing the technological divide? This initiative not only anticipates contributing a valuable tool to the visually impaired community but also presents a scalable opportunity to implement similar AI-driven solutions in other assistive technologies?
