Mathematical Equation Solver: An Intelligent OCR-Based Mobile Application

Project Abstract

This project was chosen due to an increasing demand for accessible and interactive educational tools. There is a growing need for applications that can facilitate on-the-go learning, offering students an engaging way to understand and practice mathematical concepts. My project aims to bridge the gap between traditional learning methods and modern technology. The unique position of this project lies in the utilisation of pre-existent optical character recognition and math solving engines to enable real-time scanning and solution generation. By leveraging these state-of-the-art technologies, my application offers a personalised learning experience tailored to individual needs. The main aim of the project is to develop a mobile application that can simplify the process of solving mathematical equations and can enhance learning of key mathematical concepts for students. The outcome of this project was an effective educational application that is capable of reinforcing mathematical concepts taught within classrooms. By providing practical solutions and generating similar equations for practice, the application offers a hands-on approach to learning. Overall, this project contributes to enhancing the learning experience and promoting self guided learning in the field of mathematics.
