Wall Mounted Room Booking System

Project Abstract

The project undertaken aimed to address a personal issue with the lack of easily bookable spaces around the University campus. The project was also suggested by a faculty member, showing clear need for the proposed system. This type of system can also be found deployed in many modern workplaces with the rise of hotdesking and general lack of office space. The aim of this project was to design a system whereby users could freely view a room?s schedule and book it not only from a conventional web app accessed remotely, but also when present at the room on a dedicated device. The project consists of handling data stored in a database, and the viewing and manipulation of this data through a web app using technologies and frameworks such as MySQL, PHP and Laravel. The deliverable of this project is a system that can be deployed that meets the main aims for this project.
