Project Abstract

This project introduces a web application, the “Lab Sign-off Queue System,” designed to streamline lab management processes in educational institutions. Motivated by the inefficiencies of traditional methods, this work addresses the need for a centralized platform to facilitate lab assistance requests. The main aim is to enhance student experiences by reducing wait times and optimizing resource allocation for lab staff. Employing technologies such as PHP (with Laravel Framework) and MySQL, the study employs a user-centered design approach to develop intuitive interfaces and robust functionalities. The main findings include successful implementation of key features like customizable queue management and live chat integration, resulting in improved communication and efficiency. The contribution of this research lies in its provision of a comprehensive solution to enhance support services and foster a conducive learning environment within academic institutions.
