Cause & Effect: Simulations off-world
Project Abstract
With so many new programmes reaching beyond earth, studies are being conducted into architecture, logistics, transport and agriculture on off-world locations. However, less of them are focusing on the driving force – the people. In this project, I study simulations, their use, their models and how to design them. The end result is a simulation in Unity3D of a group of colonists surviving following simple rules. Personality is an important factor when considering the survival of a group and I argue that here by demonstrating the effects of dishonesty in a colony setting.
