Voluntary Ambulance Services

Project Abstract

The urgent need to lessen the strain on Wales’ National Health Service (NHS)?particularly in the area of ambulance services, which are marked by abnormally high call volumes and record-low response times?motivates this study. The development of a mobile application that enables volunteer drivers to help individuals with non-emergency medical transportation makes this work unique. This application’s ultimate goal is to lighten the load on NHS ambulance services and speed up emergency medical response times. Utilizing technologies such as JavaScript, React Native, Node.js, and MongoDB, the Agile methodologies are applied to construct the application’s front end and back end.The project mostly based on the effective integration of all the key elements with an emphasis on accessibility, such as a notification system, volunteer mode driven by the user, and request acceptance. This research primarily contributes by offering an effective way to reduce the burden on NHS ambulance services and encourage volunteerism and community involvement. The project expecting to improve the efficacy and efficiency of non-emergency medical transportation services in Wales by gathering more users feedback, refining the design and functionality of the application, and forming good partnership with local companies and stores to provide gifts and discounts for volunteer drivers.
