Developing an appointment booking system for healthcare providers.
Project Abstract
This project is about development of an online application for booking appointments using the PERN stack technology. The application objective is to enhance healthcare service delivery by reducing patient waiting times and improving communication between patients and healthcare professionals. The patient may effortlessly schedule, modify, or cancel appointments using a highly user-friendly interface developed using React. The application implements a Node.js run time environment and Express framework for backend, where all of the data is securely saved in PostgreSQL to ensure data integrity and safe transactions. The system’s major features is an automated SMS and email reminder, live updates, and a dashboard for patient and healthcare provider to better manage appointments. Moreover, the project prioritises security and privacy in accordance with healthcare rules and data protection standards. This development effort not only tackles the substantial delays in patient treatment observed in healthcare systems like the NHS but also offers the potential to customise this solution for various healthcare settings globally. Which it makes the world a better place.
