Mobile and Web Based Timetable Application

Photo

Project Abstract

Access to the internet is not always available and applications can be developed to prevent this problem when connected by storing local data from when last connected to the internet. Constructing these applications allows users to access their timetables anytime they have access to a device that has internet capabilities, even if they are not actively used at the time of operation. The main aim of this is to develop two applications, a web based one and a mobile app based one for android devices that communicates with the web based application to retrieve data. This is done through use of the Laravel Web Framework to construct the web application which allows viewing and editing of the data stored for the timetables so they can be both seen and edited. Android studios is used for the Mobile Application that is used to access the timetable data that is available through the web application which is then stored locally on the users device.
